Ning 2 WordPress
Just for the record, migrating content and member accounts from Ning to WordPress/BuddyPress is not that easy. Two attempts and still have less than anticipated results. It’s not that the membership features on BuddyPress are not capable, but that the data export/data import methods are sparsely documented.
We’ve been able to set up membership (multiple types actually) for a week now, but getting more than about 1,180 members imported is turning into a small issue. Regardless, additional work continues on the site to enable both… Continue reading
